The science and research into PRP for hair regrowth
Some in the medical community think that PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. This approach is often combined with other hair loss procedures or medications.
The internet has a frustrating lack regarding proof of the results of the effectiveness of PRP for hair growth. We advise you Google (other search engines are available) and research this hair loss treatment to fully understand its value. Currently there hasn’t been enough research to prove if PRP is an effective hair loss treatment. However, PRP therapy has been in use since the 1980s. It has shown positive results for problems such as healing injured tendons, ligaments, and muscles.

Each session takes approximately 30-60 minutes.
The therapy begins by taking a small amount of blood from the patient’s arm. The blood is put into a machine. Spinning at high speed (centrifuge) to separate the platelets and plasma from the red blood cells. This plasma, rich in platelets and growth factors, is then injected into the scalp.
Treatment results vary, however, for most patients the results last up to 24 months. Touch-up treatments (every 3-6 months) will maintain the results.
Our surgeons advise waiting at least a month after your hair transplant before PRP treatment.

The centrifuge and its role in PRP
The alchemy of PRP begins after the patient’s blood has been taken. This precious fluid is placed in a centrifuge (spinning machine) and spun for 10 minutes to separate the blood fluids.
