• Sodium chloride: A salt that helps balance the pH and osmolarity of the solution.
• Potassium chloride: Another salt that helps balance the pH and osmolarity of the solution.
• Magnesium chloride: A mineral that helps improve the cellular environment of the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth.
• Calcium chloride: Another mineral that helps improve the cellular environment of the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth.
• Sodium lactate: A natural preservative that helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in the solution.
• Lactic acid: A natural acid that helps adjust the pH of the solution and enhance the penetration of the active ingredients into the skin and hair.

What is TrichoSol?+
TrichoSol is an alcohol free, propylene glycol free compounding vehicle developed by Fagron specifically for topical hair loss treatments. Standard alcohol and propylene glycol vehicles are the single most common cause of scalp irritation on OTC minoxidil products. TrichoSol solves this with a water based vehicle that contains neither.
Is TrichoSol better than standard minoxidil solution?+
Clinically equivalent for the actives delivered. The active ingredient (minoxidil, finasteride, dutasteride etc.) reaches the follicle at the same concentration. The difference is scalp tolerance: TrichoSol is much less likely to cause the itching, flaking or redness that many people experience on standard propylene glycol formulations. It is the reason people who cannot tolerate Regaine or Kirkland can usually tolerate TrichoSol based topicals.
Who makes TrichoSol?+
Fagron, a Dutch specialty pharmaceutical company that manufactures compounding bases for pharmacies globally. Fagron TrichoSol is available in the UK through GPhC registered compounding partner pharmacies (including ours) for prescription topical hair loss treatments. Not sold OTC because the finished products dispensed in it are all prescription only medicines.

Topical finasteride, topical dutasteride, Topical Minoxidil in various strengths (2 to 15 percent), topical melatonin, topical spironolactone, and any Custom Topical Solution compounded on request. All prescribed off label for hair loss and dispensed by our UK partner pharmacies.
